Assist with the coordination of professional development for faculty, staff, and students that is research-proven to drive sustainable changes in behaviors that promote student veterans' academic success and retention.

Make every effort to ensure military and Veteran students are put in contact with the services they need to be successful. Work with the Veterans Resource Outreach Director to establish a university-wide network ready to recognize and support military and Veteran students' access to MSUM services, such as Accessibility Resources, Financial Aid, Counseling, Admissions, Marketing, and Advising.Assist with coordinating, and executing veteran, service member, military dependent, and Army ROTC recruiting strategies and outreach activities to increase enrollment of veteran and military-connected students including coordination for all social media, branding, and marketing with the MSUM Marketing Teams.Events may include Veterans Day appreciation events, Constitution Day Events, early registration, presentations, and workshops geared towards keeping the Veteran student population up to date on their educational benefits and other relevant local, state, and federal resources. Assist with planning, programming, and events for MSUM Veteran students and the Fargo-Moorhead Veteran community.Assist with the coordination of the Yellow Ribbon Program and implement the Yellow Ribbon Strategic Plan, work with the grant program for compliance and monitor the strategies and interventions of the grant for increased enrollment, retention, graduation, and employment placements.

Assists with grant management to include-compliance with DOE and MSUM policies, budget, goal implementation, developing strategy, coordinating outreach to the veteran community, and working collaboratively with the funding agency (DOE) to ensure MSUM meets all grant deadlines and requirements.

Posting Details: This position is covered under the Minnesota State University Association of Administrative & Service Faculty (MSUAASF) union contract. The Veterans Resource Directors work schedule must be coordinated to cover requirements and/or events outside normal business hours Monday through Friday (0800-1700 hours) and, when necessary, weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Due the nature of the work associated with this role, work hours may include weekend and/or evenings. Work Schedule/Hours/Days: Office working conditions with some regional and state travel required.
